Jenny, Sinead, Jordan and I decided to be in a group together, and since we are from Ireland, we thought doing an Irish Folklore piece would have a lot of sounds to work from to portray the story in the best way possible. After looking at many stories, we chose to go with Oisin i dTir na Nog as there is a lot of nature sounds and the distinct Irish accent will be heard throughout the narrative.
We divided the roles equally among us as we can learn from one another and work together so no one is doing too much or too little of something.
Actors:
Narrator: My partner from home in Ireland, Sarah, was visiting me in Cardiff and we decided to use her voice and Irish accent as narrator. Sarah is an excellent singer and has very good syntax and pronunciation of words.
Niamh: We were unsure whom to cast for this role. We felt as Sinead suited it best as we found ourselves caught for time and we could not find anyone else to help us out against our time frame.
Fionn: Jenny and Sinead asked a friend they knew in their accommodation who did a very good impression of an Irish accent, Chris, and we recorded him saying the lines.
We found a script online to work from and we edited it ourselves and did a tough estimate of what foley sounds we could try make ourselves to put in.
There was many sounds to work from:
Making hoof noises- horse galloping, water lapping, leather noise to get up onto a horse to name a few.

We had to cut out some sentences as the piece was too long and decided to use the ones with the most descriptive information that would best captivate the reader.
